Our Story

My reason for starting Kabatah is my loss of sight because of the lack of progress made by Western Medicine. I was determine to find a way to heal myself;  massage therapy was one way of promoting health and wellness without getting involved in Western medicine. I was taught in order to study or know yourself is to first study and know the environment in which you exist.

Through my journey in this life I have learned that my physical sight is not as important as my spiritual sight. Knowing the condition of society I see that there is a purpose for my being. Through the holistic art of massage therapy I was able to contribute to the healing of my environment and ultimately society while at the same time healing myself. I healed myself spiritually, mentally and physically. Healing is what gives everyone the best chance at a better place and a better being.
I graduated from Chicago School of Massage in 2007. It took me nine months after graduation to fully comprehend just how much KaBaTah needed to exist. July 2007 I came up with the company name KaBaTah, which came from my spiritual studies of my African culture. By receiving well structure and thorough instruction from The Chicago School of Massage Therapy and performing massages in school and present day equips me with the wisdom and experience to provide optimum results.

One day while speaking with a visually impaired individual who was not able to travel because of her lack of confidence. This conversation led me to visit her in her home. After performing the massage in her home I noticed the happiness and positive energy emitting from her being. The following week she spoke publicly to a group of individuals about her experience which inspired me to continue the trend as a mobile spa.
